Summary/Abstract: The development of ecumenism, which is organically linked to Ecumenical Spiritual- ity, depends of the proper understanding and implementation of the value of “com- munio”. This concept describing ecclesial reality is found at the origins of the Church. Reaching, therefore the will of Christ for the community of believers is to read equally the ecclesial, ecumenical spirituality as well as the individual spirituality of each be- liever. The spirituality of Christians is understood as the pursuit of union with God, that is, the pursuit of holiness possessed in its nature based on unconditional love. The process of spiritual development is “purification” i.e., rejecting of what opposes it and also the work of developing it. In every Christian denomination, the faithful are convinced of this vocation of the Christian. This is how an Ecumenical Spirituality of a communion character is born and developed. Its content is God, being Himself Truth or Love. It is most fully revealed in Jesus Christ. Therefore, “communio” hasa christocentric-christoform character. At the same time, it is submissive to the Holy Spirit, who is the Author of the ecumenical work. This “communio” experience of God is reflected in the life of the believer by reaching out to his neighbor regardless of de- nomination and becomes an apostolic- evangelizing witness to a secularizing world.
