Summary/Abstract: The topic of Bogomils and Bogomilism has been present in the history and culture of the Bulgarian people since the time of the First Bulgarian Kingdom, when this new dualistic teaching began to disturb spiritual life and church-state relations nearly a century after the Baptism and Christianization of the Bulgarians. Bogomilism is an important topic in the history and culture of Bulgaria, about which the humanities of the twentieth century have accumulated a great deal of knowledge, but in order to understand the essence of this teaching, we need to first of all know the scientific research of Orthodox clergymen and theologians. In a strange way, or due to unfavorable circumstances, for our theological and humanistic science, one of the first theological and ecclesiastical studies on the Bogomils in the early 1920s - the doctoral dissertation of Exarch Stefan on Bogomilism and Presbyter Cosmas, which he wrote in French in Switzerland, remains unpublished in Bulgarian and far from the searches of other researchers in this field.
