Summary/Abstract: The doctrine of the God-man Christ is the foundation of our Church. This is a topic that has been subjected to various debates to this day. The Savior's personality has always been an obstacle to some, and an example, imitation, and salvation to others. According to Orthodoxy, the answer to the question can be found not only in the books of the Old Testament, but also in the New Testament, where in fact He, God the Word, is most clearly manifested. We see this in the name of the Lord (it is no coincidence that we call Him that) Jesus, which means Savior, Christ – the Anointed One.
