Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to examine the activity of the Deutscher Kulturverband (German Cultural Association) and the Deutscher Turnverein (German Turner Organisation) and its impact on the German-speaking population of the Spiš region from the founding of the first local organisations until the 1935 Parliamentary Elections.
