Summary/Abstract: The positive impact that the development of AI systems, as a result of technological progress, can have on people's professional activities and living conditions is also accompanied by a number of risks to people's fundamental rights. The AI Act is the first specific regulation in the field of AI systems through which the European Union regulates the development and use of these technologies in such a way as to ensure that the balance between technological progress and respect for the fundamental rights of Union citizens is maintained. In this framework, various forms of legal liability for the use of AI systems are to be implemented, and tort liability based on risk theory may find its applicability in the case.
