Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Commission of Military History was founded in 1974 and therefore is marking an important achievement with the celebration of its 50th Anniversary. The International Commission of Military History, which numbers 42 National Commissions in five continents, is very happy to join in these celebrations, since among these various Commissions the Romanian one stands out for its seniority, the continuity of its commitment, its wide range of activities, including the publication of the scholarly journal Revista de istorie militară.
