Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Commission of Military History (CRIM) was established on August 30, 1974. From its very inception, it was affiliated with the International Commission of Military History (ICMH), the most prestigious international research forum in the field of military history, which in turn is affiliated with UNESCO. The Romanian Commission of Military History aims to study and promote military history, ensuring the integration of Romanian research in this field with international efforts and contributing significantly to the development of national military historiography. Over the course of these five decades of activity, the commission has included distinguished military and civilian historians whose works rank among the most important contributions to Romanian military historiography.
