Summary/Abstract: Since the discovery of the Yangshao culture, J. G.Andersson and then other researchers have made connections with the Cucuteni-Trypillia culture, due to thepainted pottery, but also the presence of common elements regarding painted decoration, and later decorativemotifs and signs and symbols. In the present study, we have resumed some of the old themes previously debated, through comparative methods and with the help of databases. We have identified some signs and symbolscommon to the Yangshao and Cucuteni-Trypillia cultures, respectively the Danube Script, but also othersspecific to each civilization or cultural circle. We have exemplified through several figures and tables thepossible correlations between Europe and China and we have reinterpreted some iconic artifacts.
