Ryszard Mienicki Competition for the Best Diploma Thesis in Archival Science and Document Management and its 7th nationwide edition

Summary/Abstract: In 2005, Association of Polish Archivists, Toruń Branch presented for the first time an award for the best diploma thesis in the field of archival science and documentation management, in the Ryszard Mienicki competition. Originally, the initiative was aimed only at graduates of archival studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University, but since 2018 the competition has been national and i s f inancially s upported a nnually b y t he M ain B oard o f t he A ssociation. The competition enjoys great interest among students of archival science and documentation management. Up to 2023 inclusive, 49 works were submitted to the competition and in the last edition 11. The title of laureate was won by Michał Dyło, who at NCU, under the supervision of Robert Stępień, prepared and defended a bachelor›s thesis entitled Technical, organizational and legal aspects of archiving Internet resources.
