Communication and Cooperation as Important Prerequisites for the Fulfilment of the Transversal Literacies

Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the key role of communication and cooperation as basic prerequisites for the successful fulfilment of transversal literacies in contemporary education. With reference to the new 2023 National Curriculum, which emphasizes the development of complex competencies that transcend traditional curricular boundaries, we emphasize that effective communication and collaboration are integral components for lifelong learning, problem solving, digital literacy, civic participation, and many other competencies. The systematic integration of communication and collaboration activities into pedagogical practice is essential for preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century and developing their adaptability and interpersonal skills.
