Summary/Abstract: This article examines the effects of AI hallucinations across three critical military domains: weapons systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, and command and control systems. By analyzing the specific vulnerabilities, potential consequences, and mitigation strategies in each domain, we aim to provide military personnel and policymakers with a comprehensive understanding of this emerging challenge. The article concludes with policy recommendations designed to address the risks of AI hallucinations while preserving the benefits of AI integration in military applications.
