Summary/Abstract: Banat is a multicultural region where various ethnic groups live together harmoniously, contributing to the local cultural richness. One example is the story of Mrs. Borș Erzsébet, an ethnic Hungarian born in 1939 in the village of Bunea Mică, Caraș-Severin County. The village was founded in 1864 by Hungarian settlers who came from the Tisza region. Elisaveta fondly recalls the traditional Hungarian customs of her childhood: folk costumes, winter holidays, Christmas balls, and weddings. Christmas was celebrated with great festivity, and traditions were carefully preserved. Hungarian folk music and songs accompanied all important moments in life. Unmarried girls and boys leaving for the army had specific songs that expressed longing and their deep connection to their home village. Even today, the Hungarian community in Bunea Mică preserves its language and traditions, remaining an important pillar in the cultural identity of the Făget area.
