Summary/Abstract: Between October 1, 2016, and August 31, 2018, the promotion of three volumes of The Masnavi by Jalal al-Din Rumi, translated and annotated by Sheikh Ahmed Mešić, was held in 12 cities and municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina: Odžak, Gradačac, Kladanj, Gračanica, Brčko, Živinice, Mostar, Sapna, Lukavac, Kalesija, Kaćuni, and Visoko. For each of these events, appropriate verses from the Masnavi were chosen along with significant parts of Sheikh Ahmed Mešić’s commentary and interpretation, which not only uncover the deep meanings of Rumi’s poetry, but also reveal the inner world and personality of the translator himself. This paper is structured as a kind of travelogue, more through the Masnavi itself than in a strictly geographical sense, accompanied by original material.
