Summary/Abstract: The rise of social media has fundamentally transformed the communication strategies of the electronic dance music scene, a process that can be clearly observed through the example of the rominimal style. This study presents the emergence and development of the rominimal genre, with particular focus on the role of the Sunrise community and the Sunwaves Festival, and examines the social media communication of the Red Dot 9 retreat through a case study. The aim of the research is to demonstrate, through the analysis of 184 posts, to what extent music, organization, and communication can embody underground characteristics in the context of a contemporary underground festival. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of the social media strategies of underground electronic music events.
