Summary/Abstract: The research paper aims to explore the online presence and brand cohesion of three film festival websites from different European zones. The Romanian Câmpulung Film Fest, the Turkish Izmir International Film Festival and the German Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen are analysed and compared through the spectra of key differences and consistencies in web and social media design, as well as user interface patterns. This paper contributes to the media communication research landscape by delving into multiple, intertwined domains of the field. The findings of the paper have the potential to inform film festival organisers, web designers, and communication professionals on how to use various tools to create effective and engaging online platforms. However, the following research has limitations, as assessments of design and user interface, despite the objective criteria they are based on, may be subject to bias and, therefore, influence the evaluations.
