Summary/Abstract: The study presents how the field of journalism has changed in recent years due to the emergence of artificial intelligence. In its literature review, the text highlights the focal points where new technology is reshaping existing workflows, editorial practices, and normative guidelines in the field of journalism. This includes changes in the media industry, the emergence of new business models, and the challenges of the regulatory environment. The study also addresses the changing tasks of journalists and their attitudes towards artificial intelligence. In the second half of the paper, we present the results of an empirical study. In February-March 2024, we conducted a questionnaire survey among Hungarian journalists. Based on this data, the study examines and compares the attitudes toward AI adoption among journalists working at religious publications and those at non-religious outlets.
