Summary/Abstract: In recent years, Hungarian media and cultural studies have increasingly focused on the cultural diffusion of machine-learning-based artificial intelligence technologies. Researchers emphasize that media studies, with its conceptual and methodological tools, can significantly contribute to the broader scientific discourse on AI by analysing its cultural effects, interpretive processes, and impacts on social communication systems. My paper examines the influence of deep learning-based voice cloning technology on popular culture and explores the interpretive discourses surrounding it. Using a Hungarian experimental music production as a case study, I first review the literature on voice cloning, and then analyse the reception of the song through content and sentiment analysis. Finally, drawing on Tamás Tófalvy’s papers, I identify and categorize the narrative framings of voice cloning and AI-driven music production within this context.
