Summary/Abstract: Manipulation through the publication of an untruth under the pretense of being conceptual art is a means to create sensation and publicity, to create an urban myth in which the main role falls to the artist, who has focused his conceptual approach under this form of manifestation. What is an image? What is a photographic image? Through the study of Yves Klein’s work, we have identified the archetype of an early romantic fake news of fake art news, through the simulation of suicide, death, exclusivism, the artwork becomesmore valuable. The value of an artist and their artwork increases exponentially with the death of the author. Joan Foncuberta’s case study situates him as a forerunner of the anticipated consequences in terms of the development of social media, deep fake, human psychology of preferring a conspiracy theory contrary to the truth. The imaginary will always be a refuge, and fiction will sell better than an actual case study. Adela Muntean’s Memory Reel offers us a speculative interpretation of the idea of saving collective memories. Although we do not see the images on film, the installation being a sum of affective memories will elicit an appreciative response. Curiosity for the new, even the invisible will make the information distributed and desired for distribution and preservation
