Summary/Abstract: Given that the current framework curricula for training future primary school teachers no longer include Children's Literature among the fundamental disciplines, this article aims to investigate the opportunity of reintroducing this discipline within the academic training offered through the "Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education" bachelor's degree program. We highlight both the previous objectives for the study of this discipline and the viewpoints of graduates who completed their initial training at pedagogical high schools and subsequently pursued further studies in the aforementioned specialization. Beyond the inherent dynamism of texts grouped as "literary works for children," this discipline also requires that the analytical methods applied to traditional works—the classics of children's literature—taking into account the evolving social landscape of future adults.
