Summary/Abstract: The justification of the judgment, as an element addressed to both the parties and the authorities examining the correctness of the decision, is a key element in the court’s presentation of its position. The subject of the considerations will be the justification of the partial judgment as a new institution of criminal proceedings, which has so far been unknown to this branch of law. The requirements related to the issuance of a partial judgment, considerations on the justification of the judgments, and, consequently, the reference of the requirements in question to the justification of the partial judgment will be indicated. An attempt will be made to answer the question about the justification for introducing this institution, as well as to demonstrate whether the justification for the partial judgment will be the same as the justification for the final decision. The article uses a dogmatic and legal method.
