Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to introduce the concept of an innovative lab (i-Lab) and to present the utility of a combination of modern technologies, a modified environment and a psychological approach as a meaningful tool in the educational process. An innovative lab can be considered as a method of group work, triggering mechanisms of creativity and cooperation. The method is effective when working with different professionals. It can be used not only with teachers but also with people with special educational needs. The method is based on a combination of moderator, environment, atmosphere, and technical equipment - software and hardware for this activity. Facilitator led training facilitates the exchange of experience and best practices in organizing and enriching the learning process with the use of new methods. From a psychological point of view, it is possible to use proven techniques that open up or inspire a safe atmosphere and dynamic of the group. In the first phase of the creation of the Innovative Laboratory, a questionnaire of its own construction was used, which contained specific areas of questions related to the training of pedagogical staff. The questionnaire was aimed at teachers of elementary and secondary schools. In the second phase, the creation of a methodology for the treatment of the room, the specialization of the facilitators and the acquisition of the relevant psychological methods were used. The final third phase evaluated the implementation of the scenarios in the educational process. We can state that the methodology developed for the implementation of the innovative laboratory helps to eliminate the individual risks in its subsequent use. The practical experience of implementing specific training scenarios shows the effectiveness, creativity and stimulation potential of the i-Lab concept.
