Summary/Abstract: For four years, the same interest group has been pretending to develop Romania's Energy Security Strategy. Officially, only the first three chapters exist, which present a fairly accurate overview of the current internal energy situation and the EU legislation, treaties, and agreements with the European Union. However, nothing is mentioned about the corruption within the system or the deplorable state of several energy companies that are essentially bankrupt. In the last two years, Romania has started importing electricity, despite having production capacity that is twice the consumption needs.
