Summary/Abstract: This article examines how women-related issues were addressed in political party communication during the 2023 parliamentary election campaign in Poland, with particular attention to their implications for socio-political security and normative legitimacy. The study is based on quantitative and qualitative content analysis of Facebook and Instagram posts published by candidates from six political committees in the Opole region. An interdisciplinary framework is applied, combining feminist security studies, the theory of normative power in Europe and the professionalisation of political campaigns. The findings reveal significant ideological differences in the intensity and nature of gender-related messages – from full integration of women’s rights into campaign strategies to complete neglect. The analysis suggests that the visibility or absence of gender equality narratives may shape societal resilience and perceptions of democratic legitimacy. The marginalisation or instrumental use of women’s issues could intensify political polarisation and undermine the alignment of national campaigns with EU values. The article contributes to the literature on political communication and normative security, emphasising the importance of incorporating gender equality as a key dimension in assessing the resilience of democratic communities.
