Polish experiences as recipients of aid in the years 1946–2023

Summary/Abstract: The article presents Polish experience as a recipient of development aid in the years 1946–2023.Reference was made to the development aid provided to Poland by the United Nations Relief and Development Administration (UNRRA), development assistance provided by members of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON), support from the West for the Polish transformation, and development support of the European Communities and the European Union. A separate consideration was given to the participation of Poland in the structures of development organizations, including the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Multilateral Investment Agency (MIGA), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Financial Corporation (IFC).
