Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the classification of road traffic signals as administrative activity, examining the rules applicable to them, as well as the rules and judicial practice in relation to comparable acts in the light of normativity and individuality. Following the examination of the possibility to classify these signs as administrative acts of general scope, the question of their classification as individual administrative decisions is examined, completed by a comparative legal context in which the approach of the German and Swiss administrative law to this question is presented. The conclusion suggests a preference for classification as an individual decision in view of the guarantee of effective judicial protection and the fact that other public use decisions are regulated as individual acts, too, while acknowledging that a provision with general scope is nevertheless an acceptable category.
