Summary/Abstract: THE CONCEPT OF PUNISHING AND AMNESTYING INFIDELITY ON THE EXAMPLE OF DONATION OF CHARLES ROBERT´S: In the present study, we pay particular attention to the greatest enemies and infidels of Charles Robert´s of Anjou in the context of his entire government. We focus on the problem of the oligarchy in Hungarian kingdom in this period, with emphasis on the territory of today’s Slovakia. From specific donation documents, we will find out how Charles Robert approached traitors and, conversely, how he rewarded his loyal supporters. We will also focus on cases of pardoning enemies and the reasons why it happened. Interesting are also the merits for which the king granted properties after their confiscation from disloyal nobility and their familiars.
