Summary/Abstract: Although I read it as an adult and not shortly after its release, the book that predicted the end of history—or rather, its main message—deeply moved me, even if (or perhaps precisely because) it merely confirmed the fundamental values I believe in. Let’s recap: Western-style democracy is embraced by humanity as the final form of socio-political evolution, alongside the capitalist free market and freedom of expression. With the end of the Cold War, the West achieved an ideological victory, and its values will become universal (‘This is the endpoint of humanity’s ideological evolution and the universalization of Western liberal democracy as the final form of human governance’).
