Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes the critical importance and comprehensive scope of airport crisis management through the examples of the Van, Elazığ, and 6th of February, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes and the case of Hatay Airport. Evaluating airports' rapid and effective response capabilities in the face of devastating natural disasters such as earthquakes reveals the vital role of the cornerstones of crisis management: strategic planning, comprehensive preparedness, interinstitutional coordination, and effective communication processes. In particular, the crisis management approaches implemented at Hatay Airport during the earthquakes of the 6th of February, offer valuable insights for future preparedness and response mechanisms for similar large-scale crises. This study emphasizes the necessity of constructing airports with earthquake-resistant infrastructure, regularly updating emergency plans with a dynamic approach, equipping personnel with continuous and qualified training, and maximizing the utilization of existing technological resources. Furthermore, it highlights the strategic importance of international cooperation and information sharing in the effectiveness of airport crisis management processes. In conclusion, this research underscores the imperative of continuous scientific research and development activities to enhance the structural and operational resilience of airports against crises and to minimize the potential negative impacts of possible crises.
