Summary/Abstract: One of the most crucial points in interpreting Turkish history is agrarian and land reform. In the study, what was done for agrarian and land reform during the Atatürk period will be conveyed chronologically, including significant developments. The fifteen years covered in the study also addressed the changes in agricultural structure, agricultural policies, and discussions on peasantry. Despite the critical and radical steps taken during the Atatürk period between 1923 and 1938, it has been concluded that a radical land reform could not be achieved in every respect. However, it is thought that it would be wrong to attribute this negative situation to Atatürk's short life.
