Summary/Abstract: The three elections that took place between 1950 and 1960 naturally entail the examination of three distinct phases of the Democratic Party era. ach of these periods has similarities and distinctive features of its own. Despite emerging as the first party in all three elections, the perception of the 1957 early election within the Democratic Party's parliamentary group is not accurately reflected as portrayed externally. Despite the apparent victory of the 1957 election, prolonged internal criticism within the party group and discussions about its reasons set it apart from the other elections. This research focuses on how elections and economic developments are addressed within the Democratic Party group and delves into the internal debates surrounding these issues. In this context, the 1957 early election and the subsequent economic developments, which led to a series of analyses and numerous discussions within the Democratic Party group, constitute the core of the study. Conducted through an examination of Democratic Party group records, this study enables the determination of how the 1957 election and the post-election economic developments were perceived from the perspective of Democrats and facilitates the analysis of the Democratic Party's stance within the context of internal debates. The findings hold significant qualitative value in comprehending the overall dynamics within the party and contribute to future studies in this regard.
