The Use of Citavi in Scientific Studies in The Field of Theology

Summary/Abstract: This research focuses on the use of Citavi in scientific studies in the field of theology. Although there are many sources and reference software, the scope of the research is restricted to Citavi software due to the important features that distinguish it from its counterparts. Unlike others, Citavi software will greatly facilitate this work of researchers at multiple stages of studies in the field of theology the research suggests that. Many of the researchers do not yet recognize the Citavi software. Those who know it also perceive Citavi as a reference administration software that is no different from its counterparts, Zotero, Mendeley, and Endnote. In reality, the situation is very different from what was thought. Citavi is more advanced and featured software than writing management. Zotero, Mendeley# and Endnote, reference management software widely used in the field of theology today, are similar in their features and the tools they offer the researcher. The difference between Citavi from others is that while others are resourcing and reference management software, Citavi is a software that offers many advanced tools with several features beyond resource and reference management. Citavi brought together resourcereference management and information organization under the same roof. Although the source and reference management features of other software are advanced, the features of creating notetaking/information vouchers, grouping, modifying, editing, using them in a citation, writing research, etc. have not developed. Citavi has transformed the longlasting and exhausting classical bibliography and information tagging phase into a joyful and easily sustainable research process with the help of its convenient interface and advanced tools. Citavi software has many features such as creating bibliography and information vouchers, editing, modifying these vouchers, categorizing them into various categories, linking them to the sections and titles shown in the table of contents of the research, and transferring them easily to the Word file. Thanks to its features and tools, thesis, articles, and books can be written directly in Citavi. Citavi is separated from its peers by its features and tools that facilitate, accelerate and complete research activities and processes with a solid weave. In this research, the “information organization system” offered by Citavi software to the researcher, in other words, “bibliography and information vouchers creation system” will be introduced with visuals. Research is important in terms of creating and editing vouchers in computer and cloud environments in a modern way and examining the stages of writing reports.
