The book is a revised and updated version of Ivaylo Burov’s dissertation published in 2017, with a lot of new languages included into the analyses and enlarged bibliography. The au- thor provides a thorough and uncontroversial classification of varios phonetic processes ultimately related to phonetic similarity and offers convocing interpretations in a number of up-to-date phonological theories.
