Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine Surah An-Nahl, which serves as an exemplary subject for exploring the rhetorical aspects of the Qur'an, within the context of the science of Ma'ani, one of the three significant branches of Balagha. Revealed during the Meccan period and consisting of 128 verses, Surah An-Nahl derives its name from the word "an-Nahl" (the bee) mentioned in the 68th verse. It is the sixteenth surah in the Quranic compilation and the seventieth in the order of revelation. The surah addresses fundamental religious themes such as monotheism, divinity, revelation, the hereafter, human creation, and the signs of Allah’s power. It also emphasizes the necessity of gratitude for the blessings bestowed by Allah. Furthermore, it underscores individual and societal responsibilities, such as justice, beneficence, repentance, adherence to lawful and unlawful commands, and keeping promises. From the perspective of Balagha, Surah An-Nahl possesses remarkably rich content. It incorporates styles related to the science of Ma'ani, such as brevity (ījāz), elaboration (itnāb), and grammatical shifts (iltifāt). Through analyses of rare words, the study explains the etymology and lexical meanings of terms and identifies their functions within the context of the verses. Ultimately, this study seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the miraculous nature of the Qur'an through the analysis of specific Ma'ani styles in Surah An-Nahl. Thus, the richness of Surah An-Nahl in terms of its literary, linguistic, and semantic aspects, along with the contributions of Ma'ani styles to the meanings and rulings of the verses, will be explored.
