Summary/Abstract: Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders in children are caused by prenatal alcohol exposure, which can cause facial dysmorphology, growth disorders, and deficits in cognitive and neurobehavioral domains of child development of varying severity. Since it is a spectrum, the manifestations and consequences of prenatal alcohol exposure in children are diverse. A key limitation of children's ability to cope with the demands of the preschool curriculum are their cognitive and behavioral difficulties. Children with Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders require adaptation of the pedagogical approach and environment in kindergarten in terms of knowledge about fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, radical individualization, and externalization of structures.
