Summary/Abstract: Resocialization can be said to be a process of empowering a person and his family so that they can successfully cope with the experience of serving a prison sentence and organize their life in a socially acceptable way upon returning to the community. In addition to the above, successful resocialization and reintegration requires support in the community for the individual and family, as well as strong cooperation and exchange of information among all relevant stakeholders with an emphasis on those who are directly involved in the work. It should be emphasized that the rehabilitation approach assumes the individualization of each prisoner's sentence by developing an individual program for serving the prison sentence and implementing a series of specialized treatment programs. In order to achieve the above, the law prescribes the implementation of general and special programs for prisoners for the purpose of their resocialization and rehabilitation. When talking about general programs, it should be emphasized that they relate to work, education and organization of prisoners' free time and are implemented for all prisoners, while special programs imply group and individual psychosocial treatment of prisoners and relate to certain categories of prisoners. The topic of this paper relates to the analysis of the resocialization of prisoners during their prison sentence. This is a very current issue, which is of particular importance for a society, and thus the economy. After serving a prison sentence, prisoners are treated differently by the rest of society. Women usually make up a very small part of the total prison population, although their number is increasing in some countries. There are certain skeptical beliefs towards these subjects, which further complicate their resocialization or reintegration into society and everyday life. For this purpose, it is important, in addition to their adequate rehabilitation, to implement an effective process of resocialization.
