Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to examine the enjoyment of middle school students playing traditional children's games. The research was designed with a quasi-experimental model with a pre-test-post-test control group, was implemented for 12 weeks and 4 hours per week. The study group consisted of 48 middle school students studying at a state school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Sivas province in the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The experimental group played games such as hopscotch, goalie dodgeball, handkerchief grabber, and tombik, which were determined determined by the traditional children's games federation. Data were collected with the help of the "Physical Activities Enjoyment Scale". The data were analyzed using the SPSS program; descriptive analysessuch as arithmetic mean, frequency, standard deviation and correlation correlation were performed. Shapiro-Wilks test was applied to determine normality distribution, and since the data did not show normal distribution, Kruskal-Wallis, Post Hoc (Tukey and Tamhane’s) tests, Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon tests were used from nonparametric tests. The findings revealed that traditional children’s games increased the enjoyment levels of middle school students. In addition, although there was no significant difference in the gender variable, significant differences were found in the variables of class level and taking games-related courses other than physical education and sports classes. These results show that including game content in middle school curriculums can positively change students' enjoyment levels.
