Summary/Abstract: Stories are a genre that narrates real or realistic events. Divided into folk and modern stories, this genre meets the need for storytelling in society. Folk stories began to give their first mature examples in the Anatolian field from the 16th century and have been transmitted by narrators up to the present day. Folk stories, which generally deal with themes of heroism and love throughout history, reflect the socio-cultural and economic structure of the society in which they were formed. The cultural texture of the geography where folk stories emerged and found their source shapes many elements of the stories, including the plot, characters, and setting. In this context, the societal structure from which folk stories originated, particularly the economic disparities within this structure, divides society into different groups and leads to the formation of classes. The groups formed due to inequalities such as economic conditionsin society create class conflict. This situation affects people's choices, leading to sociocultural diversity in society. In folk stories, this structural difference caused by class conflict is seen in the hero's struggle. This study aims to reveal class conflict by examining the hero's struggle in the plot of three folk stories.
