Summary/Abstract: This paper gives an overview of the published sources in Deedmongol, the Qinghai dialect of Oirat. After presenting its current distribution and recent language contact situation, it discusses the value of several types of non-linguist modern sources, such as movies synchronized in Deedmongol or oral literature in orthographic rendering. It then characterizes four linguistically oriented corpora of Deedmongol, including one created and one revised by this author with time-aligned transcriptions of monologues, task-based and free conversation. Additionally, the paper presents a short initial historical corpus of Deedmongol based on archival letters to the Manchu emperor from 1645–1712.
