Summary/Abstract: This study reviews the implications of the shift in communication patterns on the effectiveness of learning that is usually done face-to-face, along with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current learning pattern prioritizes digital technology. The approach in the study uses a mixed method. This study combines a quantitative approach with five variables using Smart PLS and a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews derived from the results of quantitative analysis with the implementation of Maxqda. Participants were 302 Informatics Engineering students from Unindra who experienced a transition in learning patterns during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study indicates that Compliance and Commitment in the use of digital technology show significant results. This mixed-approach study shows that the discipline and technology factors used by lecturers, students and online media admins contribute dominantly to the effectiveness of learning. This means that online learning is a scheduled discipline in the use of digital technology between lecturers, students and LMS admins.
