Summary/Abstract: Global actors are directly or indirectly involved in conflicts anywhere in the world, positioning themselves according to their political and economic goals. In the war that began with Russia’s attack on Ukraine to achieve its political goals, global actors have aligned themselves with their political and economic objectives. The United States, with the primary political goal of reasserting influence in Europe and weakening Russia, largely achieved its objectives before the war ended. Russia, on the other hand, established a land connection with Crimea and conveyed the message that it would not remain indifferent to the Western organizations’ memberships of the countries in its immediate vicinity. The EU has partially reduced its dependence on Russia in energy but has been unable to achieve a change of power in Russia and does not seem likely to achieve this goal in the near future. China, while making efforts to ensure that the Belt and Road Initiative is not harmed and its trade with EU countries is not disrupted, is also supporting Russia in line with its policy of balancing the United States. The parties that have suffered absolute damage since the beginning of the war are the EU, economically losing and becoming more dependent on the United States, and Ukraine, being dragged into an uncertain future. This study, whose main aim is to discuss the political goals of the United States, Russia, the EU, and China in the Russia-Ukraine war, takes into account the historical reasons for the Russia-Ukraine war and analyzes the political goals of the actors mentioned in this war and the status of the realization of these goals.
