Summary/Abstract: Information and communication technology has become an important initiator for the everyday life of every academic citizen. Successful use of computers in the context of education depends not only on their availability, but also on getting to know them. Over the past fifteen years, teachers have been increasingly focusing on introducing ICT to the classroom. Digital literacy, knowledge and skills needed to participate in basic ICT activities today are considered as a precondition for adopting basic skills related to a particular subject. One of the forms of contemporary ICT in education is distance learning. Distance learning enables physically remote people to attend classes. The advantages of this learning are choice of one's own learning, choice of learning places for attending non-residential educational programs, individual learning, searching for new information, practical work with different techniques.
