Summary/Abstract: The text of the paper introduces the concept of dementia, describes its basic symptoms and then points out the need to provide multidisciplinary care for these individuals, at the level of health and social care for people with this diagnosis. Subsequently, it presents non-pharmacological approaches appli cable to the intervention of people with dementia, with the aim of optimising their quality of life and supporting their physical and psychological performance to the maxi-mum extent possible. In addition, the text presents data obtained through a questionnaire survey that monitored the implementation of intervention procedures/therapies in the care of people with dementia in the facilities that make up the research sample. Among other things, the staffing of the implementation of these therapies was also investigated, as well as the presence of special educators at the level of multidisciplinary teams in the selected homes with special regime.
