Summary/Abstract: In the era of globalisation, cultural and local security, are becoming a challenge for state authorities. The changes thatare taking place in these processes are becoming a subject of discussion in the formation of military policy and the modernisationof procedures for action in case of threats that may adversely affect the security of existing international alliances. Tangibleevidence of such a scenario, today, is the migration problem on the NATO’s eastern flank and the open military conflict in Ukraine.This publication attempts to analyse the opportunity to establish NATO Territorial Defence Forces Centre of Excellence, as an elementsupporting the process of identifying threats of a crisis nature and military, as well as supporting NATO conventional troops.
