Summary/Abstract: This study investigates the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in enhancing the disaster resilience of smart homes. Specifically, an intelligent airbag system capable of autonomously responding to natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides has been developed and integrated with real-time sensor networks and machine learning algorithms. The system processes environmental and geotechnical data to identify threshold-exceeding risks, upon which embedded airbags within structural components of the building are deployed to mitigate mechanical shock and prevent collapse. The proposed model was tested through digital simulations under various disaster scenarios and compared against conventional systems lacking AI integration. Results demonstrated a substantial improvement in response latency and a notable reduction in structural vulnerability. The study further emphasizes that system reliability is critically dependent on sensor accuracy and processing speed. This research contributes to the advancement of intelligent infrastructure for disaster management by offering an anticipatory and adaptive architectural safety solution.
