Summary/Abstract: The use of hazardous substances is constantly increasing worldwide. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is one of these hazardous materials. Logistics activities of compressed natural gas, which is both an important energy source and a dangerous substance, are becoming a very important issue due to the risks involved. In this study, compressed natural gas is discussed in terms of its use in the industrial field, not as a vehicle fuel, contrary to what is frequently studied in the literature. The aim of the study is to determine the risk factors in CNG logistics and the importance of these factors. In this study, which consists of two complementary stages, an interview was first conducted with a group of 12 experts and the data was analyzed using the MAXQDA 2020 program. At this stage, 5 main and 33 sub-risk factors have been identified in compressed natural gas logistics. Main factors: People, company, material and filling, vehicle condition, environment and traffic. In the second stage, a survey was conducted with the same participants using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique. At this stage, the risk factors obtained in the first stage were compared among themselves and ranked according to their importance. At the end of the study, the most important factor during CNG logistics activities was the "human" factor (29.36%), while the "environment" factor (10.30%) was seen as less important by the participants.
