Summary/Abstract: A significant proportion of the foreigners arriving in Poland are children and school youth. As a consequence, Polish schools are increasingly becoming culturally diverse. This results in the necessity to take measures for integrating international students, which is understood as a social process aimed at achieving unity, conformity, and cooperation. Actions in this regard are taken, among others, within the framework of the so-called preparatory programs introduced into the Polish educational system in 2017. Starting from the 2019/2020 school year, they were opened in seven schools in Wrocław, and in the culminating year 2022/2023, they functioned in as many as 29 institutions. The article presents the results of the author’s research aimed at assessing the preparatory programs in the process of integration of international students almost five years after their initiation in Wrocław. It was carried out using the directive interview technique. It was conducted in those schools where preparatory courses were established in the first year of the functioning of that system.
