Summary/Abstract: This study examines Romanian students on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including the specificities of entrepreneurial activity, entrepreneurial lifestyle, entrepreneurial role models, the desirability of starting a business, the feasibility of starting and sustaining a business, and barriers to entrepreneurship. The empirical data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to students from the faculties of the University of Craiova. The analysis of these data provided important insights into understanding young people's perceptions and expectations regarding entrepreneurship. The findings of this investigation may have implications for the development and implementation of entrepreneurship education programs within Romanian higher education institutions. Understanding students' perceptions and expectations can help to design more effective and relevant programs that will lead them to perceive entrepreneurship as a possible career opportunity.
