Summary/Abstract: The sports game – basketball is the most natural and rational way to arouse in students a lasting interest in physical education and sports, as a result of which they would lead a more active and healthy lifestyle. The participation in the national competitions, the results and the ranking of the basketball teams of Shumen University are the subject of the present study.
