Summary/Abstract: The general tendencies and processes of development of education are the subject of philosophy of education, which defines methodology of education. On the one hand, philosophy of education is based on the general ontological framework with the help of which we explain the world. However, neither nature nor society are static, but are greatly changing, so the view is imposed in our days that the general ontological framework should be a dynamic ontology. On the other hand, theory of education is a part of the general picture of the world and is dependent on the general ontological picture. Dynamic ontology is not a closed in itself abstract theoretical system, but has applying nature, and theory of education is one of the applications of the general dynamic ontology. The competencies that should be learned by the pupils are not something given and constant once and forever; they change depending on the spirit of the epoch in which we live, i.e. they are processes and compose a dynamic system subordinating to the laws of the ontology of dynamic systems. The key competencies that should be developed in today’s education play the role of basic categories (being processes) in the theory of education, which in its turn is applied ontology of the general ontological framework of the world, in which the basic categories are processes according to the dynamic ontology. The general dynamic ontological framework of the world is general ontology that is the methodological framework for the dynamic ontology of education, which in its turn is a domain ontology subordinated to the general ontology and being its application in the sphere of education. The purpose of the present paper is to explain and to argue in detail these processes and to demonstrate how innovative education can be realized more successfully on the basic of the explained methodology.
