The Portfolio as a Representative Form of Communication, Proving the Competences and Vision for Development of the Teacher

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a theoretical study of the significance of the teacher's professional portfolio. It looks at the functions, structure and types of portfolios. It focuses on the vision and competences of the teacher to ensure a quality educational service. Emphasizes the portfolio as a form of communication between educators, with students, parents and stakeholders. It presents an analysis of teacher portfolios from II OU „Dr. Petar Beron“, city of Shumen according to the main essential characteristics of the portfolio, as a result of which conclusions and recommendations are made in the context of the quality of teaching and learning.
